Q. Based on the new occupational code (NOC) that was put into effect in May, 1997 that I will be disqualified from receiving points altogether (15 ETF points and 10 occupational points) because of the lack of a degree. It seems unfair. Is this true? Is there any way around it?

Q. I have recently heard from someone that if I show arranged employment on my permanent residence application then the visa officer may decline me the immigration visa and rather offer me a temporary work visa.Has anyone heard or experienced such a thing?

Q. At the moment I am a Ph.D student in USA on a foreign visa. I have received landing documents and must land prior to the completion of my degree. Will I be eligible for the Returning Resident Permit to complete my education? If not, will I forfeit my status in Canada?

Q. For the last 6 months I am working as a User Support Analyst. Because of my strong previous experience in Hi-Tech Technical Recruiting ( approx. 5 years ), a Canadian company wants me to work with them as Technical Recruiting Consultant for the USA market right now, and when get to Canada work with them there in Vancouver.
(1) If I apply for Canadian PR as User Support Analyst with lets say at least one year experience, I score 75 marks.
(2) If I apply as Recruiting officer with more then 4 years experience, I score 72 marks and the job demand is low (per HRDC). But I can show my affiliation with a Canadian company who is willing to give me a job as Technical Recruiting Consultant once I get to Canada (no HRDC validation).
