• First Express Entry Draw of 2016 Sees 1,463 Candidates Invited to Apply for Immigration to Canada

The first Express Entry draw of the new year, and the 24th since the Canadian immigration selection system came was launched last year, took place on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. A total of 1,463 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residence were issued to candidates with 461 or more Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. >>Read More

The government of Quebec has released a news update regarding Mon projet Québec, an online immigration application management system used by the province of Quebec to process applications under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). >>Read More

• Slight Change made to Settlement Funds Requirement for Skilled Immigration to Canada

Applicants for immigration to Canada through certain federal skilled immigration categories under the Express Entry selection system will have to demonstrate slightly more ‘settlement funds’ when making an application. >>Read More

• Significant Decrease in CRS Point Requirement in 25th Express Entry Draw for Immigration to Canada

The latest draw from the Express Entry pool, and the 25th since the immigration selection system was launched just over a year ago, took place on January 13, 2016. This draw sees a decrease in the number of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points required by candidates for Canadian immigration in order to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence. >>Read More

•  Mon Projet Québec: New Date Announced for Beginning of Submission Period for Skilled Immigration to Quebec, Canada

The government of Quebec has announced that the upcoming application intake period for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) has been postponed. This decision was taken in response to technical issues experienced by potential applicants through the new Mon projet Québec online application system, which was launched last week. >>Read More
