Historical Performance Statistics

Appendices Readers are reminded that the following statistics are historical, and do not necessarily reflect expected future performance of each respective office. Accurate determinations of such can only be made on an ongoing basis through continuous contact with a visa office.

In addition, all numbers are averages, and will therefore be affected by extremes at each end of the continuum of processing times at that office. The tables indicate the time in months that is required to process 80% of all final cases in each mentioned overseas immigration processing post for the second quarter of 1996. Indication is also given of the number of cases that had been finalized by that post. The data source is the Department of Citizenship and Immigration, informal access request by Lexbase. Statistics for the business class, and for spousal sponsorships will be made available in the next edition of the Canada Immigration Newsletter.
