Processing Times: January – June 1998

The table indicates the time in months that is required to process 80% of all final cases in every overseas immigration processing post for the most recent quarter. Indication is also given of the number of cases that had been finalized by that post. The data source is the Department of Citizenship and Immigration, informal access request by Lexbase.

Answer: The number tells you the number of months that were required to conclude 80% of cases in this category.

Q: Does that mean that my application will take this long if I submit it to one of the offices mentioned?

Answer: No. This information is historical and is not necessarily a predictor of future performance of these offices. This information is intended as a reference only. Prior to submitting applications to those offices that we are not familiar with on an ongoing basis, we contact such in order to determine current processing times
