Changes to Federal Low Income Cutoff Figures

Effective March 1 2001, the following the income requirements apply to sponsors of Family Class applicants seeking admission to a province other than Quebec:

As was previously the case, spousal sponsors may be exempted from these requirements if the circumstances warrant such, and the sponsor is not otherwise benefit from social assistance in Canada.

The figures for sponsors from the province of Quebec have not changed.
