Court Challenge to Refugee Healthcare Cuts

Refugee advocacy groups and asylum applicants are challenging recent healthcare cuts for individuals in Canada who are applying for refugee status. Canadian Doctors for Refugee Care and the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers, in conjunction with three affected asylum seekers, filed a lawsuit this past Monday stating that the cuts were both unconstitutional and a violation of refugee’s rights. >> Read more...
