Alberta holds first provincial selection of 2025, New Brunswick provides processing updates
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has issued invitations to apply to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates in its first draw of 2025.
Candidates were invited with consideration to their professional skills and experience, and/or ties to Alberta.
In addition, New Brunswick has provided an update on application processing through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP), after the recent re-opening of its immigration programs.

Provincial Immigration Results (February 3 – 14)
Alberta
The AAIP retroactively posted immigration updates from the first three draws that the PNP held in 2025, between February 3 and 6.
These draws took place through the Rural Renewal Stream and the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (Express Entry) and Dedicated Healthcare Pathway (non-Express Entry).
Cut-off scores and the number of invitations issued varied between draws:

Note: The AAIP’s Dedicated Health Care Pathway has both an enhanced (Express Entry-aligned) intake and a non-Express Entry intake. Only candidates who do not qualify for the Alberta Express Entry stream but still meet all other eligibility requirements of the Dedicated Health Care Pathway may apply through the non-Express Entry intake.

New Brunswick
The NBPNP has provided updates on its timeline for issuing invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates, and its application processing in the wake of technical difficulties through its Expression of Interest (EOI) portal.
These updates follow the recent reopening of New Brunswick’s provincial immigration streams.
On its website, the NBPNP announced that it will begin issuing ITAs to candidates through scheduled draws set to begin in March 2025. The PNP is currently reviewing submitted EOIs.
In addition, the province clarified that it has experienced performance issues on the Immigration New Brunswick (INB) portal due to an “unusually high amount of traffic” to the site. The province further stated that NBPNP IT staff are currently working to remedy the situation.
In the same update, the NBPNP advised that submissions to its Skilled Worker Stream “are not processed on a first-come, first-serve basis”, and that candidates should attend to the new updated eligibility requirements of its immigration programs before submitting an EOI, including National Occupation Classification (NOC) code restrictions.
EOIs submitted through the INB portal remain valid for up to 365 days from the date of submission.
