Ontario has issued new invitations to Express Entry candidates through its French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to 85 Express Entry candidates on September 20 and followed this with another 46 NOIs issued on September 27.

The 131 invitations brought the total number of invitations issued through the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream in 2018 to 1,196.

Ontario said those issued an NOI in the September 20 invitation round submitted their Express Entry profiles between January 1 and September 20, 2018. Those issued an NOI on September 27 entered the Express Entry pool between January 1 and September 27, 2018.

Ontario has been conducting almost weekly invitation rounds through the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream since January.

The French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream is for French-speaking Express Entry candidates who have strong English language abilities (a minimum of CLB 6) and who want to live and work permanently in Ontario.

Canadidates must be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Class or the Canadian Experience Class, and meet specified provincial criteria.

The Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Class.

The first step for anyone interested in Ontario’s French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream is to find out if they are eligible for the Express Entry pool.
