Q. In the event that my spouse becomes pregnant following issuance of landing documents, does the visa office have to be advised of this change in medical status?

Answer: I am not personally aware of visa offices requesting information about change of medical status at the issuance of landing documents. They do, however, require notification of change of marital or family status. If the child is born prior to landing, the visa office must be advised, the landing documents returned, necessary medical examinations undergone, and landing documents re-
issued.

If the child is not born prior to landing, the visa office would not typically have to be advised.
