Q & A: The Selection Interview

CIC News
Published: January 1, 1998

Q. I have applied as a "Computer Hardware Engineer" I am getting ready for the interview to be held on Jan 21st, 98 at Damascus Syria. I am worried about the question they are going to ask. I got my degree 4 years ago, do they ask a lot of questions from the books I read four years ago? Do I have to get ready for one of those apptitude-test like interviews? It would be a lot easier for me if I had a guide line to prepare myself for the interview.

Answer: The selection interview does not typically involve any form of testing of one's education in the manner that you have described. The selection interview is typically oriented towards evaluating the points awarded to an applicant and of their personal suitability.
