Q. I had applied to Buffalo in early May 1999 with a request that I be interviewed in Buffalo. Now I have received a letter from buffalo that I will interviewed in LA in about 4-6 months time. They have also sent me the medical forms now.

Why have I got medical forms now if my interview is not waived? I have seen here that the medical forms are sent/given to people after/at the time of Interview only or only if the Interview is waived.

Answer: Some visa offices give you the opportunity to conduct your medical examinations prior to the selection interview, at your own risk. The advantage is that you can expedite the case by getting the medical processing done earlier. The disadvantage is that you risk incurring the costs of the examinations, but are refused at an interview later on.
