The latest draw issued invitations to apply through the Labour Impact and the PEI Express Entry pathways.

It targeted individuals working in occupations and priority sectors based on the economic impact in PEI.

Like most other provinces, PEI saw its nomination allocation halved in 2025. The province was allocated a total of 1,025 immigration spaces in 2025.

Based on the draw totals given on the PEI page, the province has issued 569 ITAs through its PNP in 2025. All the draws held this year have been from the Labour Market Category and PEI Express Entry streams.

On account of the limited number of nominations available, the PEI Office of Immigration is currently  prioritizing skilled workers in higher demand sectors:

  • Healthcare;
  • Trades; and
  • Manufacturing.

The province has also specified that those working in the sales and service may not receive an invitation to apply.

What is Prince Edward Island’s Labour Impact Category?

The PEI Labour Impact Category provides foreign nationals with a valid job offer with a pathway to PR.

It contains three streams:

  • The Skilled Worker Stream;
  • The Critical Worker Stream; and
  • The International Graduate Stream.

In order to be eligible, a foreign national must be between the ages of 21 and 59, have sufficient settlement funds, meet a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 4; and have a full-time permanent job offer from an eligible PEI employer.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are not the same as applications. They are an indicator of interest in applying for the PEI PNP.

Candidates who submit an EOI and receive an ITA can apply for nomination.

If nominated, they receive 600 additional points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in the federal Express Entry system, greatly increasing their chances of being invited to apply for permanent residency.
