The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has issued more invitations for provincial immigration.

The province gave preference to candidates who completed their education within Manitoba and foreign workers possessing skills aligned with local workforce needs.

Draw results

The MPNP held two draws on July 10, inviting candidates through two of its immigration pathways:

A combined total of 67 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) for provincial nomination were distributed through these draws.

Of these 67 LAAs, 29 were issued to individuals who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

International Education Stream

The province invited international student graduates of Manitoba institutions through its Graduate Internship Pathway (GIP).

Candidates received a LAA if they declared that they met all GIP criteria, including

  • Having finished a master’s or doctoral degree program in Manitoba within the past three years;
  • Having completing a Mitacs or Accelerate internship within an eligible industry and research enterprise in Manitoba; and
  • Meeting a Canadian Language Benchmark level 7.

GIP candidates must be Manitoba residents at the time of application and must submit a Career Employment Plan that substantiates potential for professional advancement in the province.

Skilled Worker Stream

The MPNP invited 27 candidates from the SWS, under either the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway or Skilled Worker Overseas pathway, who indicated in their profile that they were invited by Manitoba under a strategic recruitment initiative.

Additionally, candidates needed a score of at least 673 to have been invited in this draw.

The 27 LAAs issued to eligible candidates were done so through the following strategic recruitment initiatives:

What is a strategic recruitment initiative?

Strategic recruitment initiatives assist Manitoba employers who need skilled workers in recruiting foreign talent.

Employers must meet the eligibility requirements for their open positions and complete Manitoba’s ABC Recruitment Process to participate. Once approved, they can submit international candidate details to Manitoba's Employer Services.

Candidates, on the other hand, are required to meet certain eligibility criteria—including language skills, work experience, education, and age—as well as the unique conditions tied to the stream they’re selected for.

If a candidate demonstrates stronger ties to a different Canadian province or territory (through previous employment or education), they may be considered a retention risk, potentially leading to a refusal from Employer Services or the MPNP itself.
