Newfoundland and Labrador’s most recent draw marks lowest number of invitations issued in 2025

On October 22, Newfoundland and Labrador issued invitations to provincial immigration candidates.

Invitations were extended through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

A total of 100 invitations were issued to NLPNP and AIP candidates through this selection round.

The NLPNP does not publish which streams of its Provincial Nominee Program invitations were issued through.

To date, the province has conducted 12 selection rounds across both provincial immigration programs.

This latest selection round saw the fewest invitations issued per draw across both programs so far this year.

Provincial immigration figures

In 2025 thus far, Newfoundland and Labrador issued

  • 2,253 invitations through the NLPNP; and
  • 793 invitations through the AIP.

Earlier this year, the federal government granted Newfoundland and Labrador an additional 1,000 nomination allocations for the NLPNP—bringing its total number of nomination spaces to 2,050.

As for the AIP, the province was allotted 475 provincial immigration spaces.

Altogether, the province has 2,525 nomination slots between its two provincial immigration programs.
