The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has invited more skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination in its latest draw.
Candidates were selected for declaring the receipt of an invitation to apply (ITA) from the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.

On January 29, the MPNP extended 47 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to profiles submitted under the Skilled Worker Stream, through either of the following pathways:

Among the 47 LAAs issued to skilled workers in Manitoba and overseas in EOI draw #263, six were granted to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Thus far in 2026, the province has issued 102 LAAs for provincial nomination through two draws—both of which prioritized invitations to candidates under the Employer Services recruitment initiative.
This draw follows a consistent trend for Manitoba’s selection of candidates, as the province’s published draws most frequently focus on skilled workers invited under recruitment initiatives, compared to invitation under other streams (e.g., the International Education Stream).
Manitoba notes that this draw included the selection of candidates who, in their EOI profile, are working in a regulated occupation and are fully licensed to work, but that it reserves the right to refuse applications from those who
- Are not actually working in a regulated occupation; and/or
- Fail to provide evidence to support they’ve undergone all required steps to be employed in the province.
Should a candidate fall into either bucket, they may wish to decline their LAA, as the MPNP charges a $500 non-refundable application fee.
How to apply
Individuals who receive an LAA from Manitoba have 60 days from the date of receipt to submit a full application.
Applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis based on information on the province’s website at the time an application is received.
A full application must include all necessary documentation for assessment (in either pdf or .jpg format, less than two MB in size)—all documents must be in English or French.
If an original document is not in English or French, candidates must submit a notarized copy of the original, as well as a certified translation done by a qualifying translator.
All claims made in a candidate’s EOI profile must be substantiated with supporting documentation.
Once a candidate fills out all application pages and uploads the required documentation, they must pay the $500 fee and submit their application through the MPNP Online portal.
The MPNP will email an MPNP application file number to those with an approved transaction within 48 hours.
Applications can use the MPNP Online portal to check their application status, update information, add dependents, or upload additional documentation if needed.
