New Brunswick invites skilled workers, in-province graduates, and French speakers in latest draws
On February 2, the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) conducted two draws, extending over 300 invitations to apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination.
The province invited candidates through two provincial immigration streams, focusing on French speakers, those already working in NB or who have a qualifying job offer, and qualifying graduates or letter of interest recipients.

To have been considered in either draw, candidates needed to have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the province by February 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time.
Draw results
This week, New Brunswick issued a cumulative total of 326 ITAs for provincial nomination under the following NBPNP immigration streams:
- New Brunswick Express Entry Stream; and
New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream.
New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
Selection under this stream made up a greater number of invitations issued by a marginal amount.

*Candidates should be aware that the province stated in a February 3 announcement that they will not be considering any EOIs or issuing invitations to those working directly in the accommodation and food services sector (NAICS 72) under this stream in future draws.
About this pathway: To be selected under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway, you must
- Be currently working for an in-province employer in a full-time TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 position;
- Have worked in New Brunswick for the past 12 months in a TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 position for an in-province employer (the same or different employer than above); and
- You must have held valid work authorization in Canada during this time.
- Have lived in the province for the last 12 months.
Because this is an Express Entry-linked stream, candidates who receive a provincial nomination can get 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points added to their federal Express Entry profile.

Under this stream, regardless of pathway, you must demonstrate that you meet at least an NCLC level 5 across all four language abilities (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
About the NB Francophone Priorities pathway: As a French speaker, you can be invited under this pathway if you meet one of the conditions listed below:
- You are currently residing in New Brunswick and have completed an in-person program of study (one-year minimum in length) at the Université de Moncton or the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB); or
- You have received a Letter of Interest from Immigration New Brunswick.
About the Francophone Workers in New Brunswick pathway: French speakers can be considered through this pathway if they are currently working in a permanent, full-time position with an-in province employer (or have accepted a job offer for such a job), and:
- Have lived in New Brunswick for the last six months (at least); or
- Have received a job offer through a Government of New Brunswick-led recruitment mission.
