Prince Edward Island has conducted its third provincial immigration draw of the year on March 20, issuing invitations through its Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways.
According to the PEI Office of Immigration, the province continues to prioritize candidates working in sectors with higher economic impact.
This brings the total number of invitations issued by the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to 236 so far in 2026, all through its Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.

This marks the province’s third round of selections in 2026, as of the time of this writing.
Draw results
In the latest draw, the PEI PNP issued 101 invitations through its Labour Impact and Express Entry categories.
Like its previous two draws held in 2026, the province has placed added emphasis on candidates working in occupations and priority sectors based on economic impact in the province. This includes healthcare, trades, manufacturing, and other industries facing labour shortages.
Of these individuals, international graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island, Holland College, and Collège de l’Île received priority.
The PEI PNP’s March 20 draw deviated from its anticipated Invitation to Apply (ITA) schedule by one day (March 19), unlike its January and February selection rounds.
The province has also said that individuals working in sales and service may not receive invitations at this time.
How PEI selects candidates
Foreign nationals interested in immigrating to PR through the PEI PNP must first create an account on the province’s website and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
The province ranks candidates based on their likelihood of meeting PEI’s economic and labour market needs.
Among the factors considered in PEI’s EOI system are:
- Language ability in English or French;
- Education level, field of study, and where it was completed;
- Skill level and work experience;
- Strategic priorities related to immediate labour market needs; and
- Other factors affecting employment prospects, such as a PEI job offer or previous Canadian work experience.
If PEI follows its previously published draw schedule for 2026, the next invitation rounds are expected to take place on April 16 and May 21, 2026, though the province notes these dates are for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed.
