On April 23, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held its latest immigration draw.

The province issued a total of 308 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) across two separate selection components — the largest draw of 2026 to date.

Draw results

Manitoba issued LAAs through two components in Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #269:

Selection component Stream/pathway Basis for selection LAAs issued
Occupation-specific Skilled Worker in Manitoba Current employment in health occupations (NOC category 3) 192
Strategic recruitment Skilled Worker Stream (Manitoba + Overseas) Direct invitation under a recruitment initiative 116
Total 308

Of the 308 LAAs issued in this draw, 105 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.

Occupation-specific selection

The MPNP selected 192 candidates currently employed in Manitoba in health occupations — broad occupational category 3 under the National Occupational Classification (NOC). To have been considered, candidates must have:

Candidates submitted under the International Education Stream (IES) were not considered in this component.

Strategic recruitment selection

The remaining 116 LAAs were issued through the Skilled Worker Stream, across both the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways, to candidates directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.

Here’s how those LAAs were distributed, by strategic recruitment initiative:

Strategic recruitment initiative Number of LAAs issued
Employer Services 61
Francophone Community 15
Ethnocultural Communities 14
Regional Communities 14
Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) 12

To compare, the previous draw on April 9 (EOI Draw #268) issued 32 LAAs through the strategic recruitment component only.

EOI Draw #269 issued 116 LAAs through that same component — nearly four times as many.

I met the selection criteria — why didn’t I receive an LAA?

If you believe your EOI met the selection requirements but you didn’t receive an LAA, the MPNP explains it may be because:

You indicated that you took an approved third-party English/French test, but did not provide a valid test number in your EOI, or the test results had expired; or

You stated that you received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative, but the invitation number entered was not valid.

If one of these scenarios applies to you, you may wish to update your EOI with the correct information to be considered in the next draw.

For each question in the EOI, help text is available with details on what you should enter.
