The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has held multiple draws from June 5 to June 19, 2025, inviting more newcomers to apply for provincial nomination.

Candidates were invited based on their professional experience, in-demand skills, and ability to aid the Alberta labour market.

Summary of draws, 5 – 19 June

Within two weeks, the AAIP held five draws across five different immigration streams, with varying cut-off scores for each draw.

Three of these five draws took place through Express Entry-aligned streams:

June 5 Alberta Express Entry – Priority Sectors* 70 18
June 10 Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Non Express Entry  53 33
June 17  Tourism and Hospitality stream 71 39
June 18 Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway 51 <10
June 19 Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway 73 22

*Priority sectors for the Alberta Express Entry stream include:

  • Construction;
  • Agriculture;
  • Aviation; and
  • Healthcare.

The AAIP previously announced that the Alberta Express Entry stream would consider invitations to apply (ITAs) in 2025 based on the above priority sectors, in addition to the three pathways contained within the stream:

  • Dedicated Health Care Pathway;
  • Accelerated Tech Pathway; and
  • Law Enforcement Pathway.

How many more invitations and nominations will the AAIP issue in 2025?

As of 19 June, the AAIP has issued 2,535 nominations out of its 4,875 nomination allocation, meaning the province still has 2,340 nomination spots to assign to candidates this year.

More detailed information for the stream selected in these draws, including individual nomination allocations, nominations issued, and Expression of Interest (EOIs) in each stream’s candidate pool, is given below:

Stream Nomination allocation Nominations issued Nominations to be issued EOIs in candidate pool
