CEC cut-off score reaches new high in latest Express Entry draw

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued more invitations to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system, as cut-off scores for CEC candidates reach a new high in 2026.

The immigration department issued 2,000 ITAs in today's draw to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates.

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to have:

  • A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 515; and
  • Created an Express Entry candidate profile before 2:46 a.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on June 10, 2025.

Today's draw is the seventh under the CEC program, and the twenty-second Express Entry selection of 2026. It also marks the smallest CEC draw of the year, preceded by the March 31 draw, which issued 2,250 ITAs.

This draw also saw the CRS cut-off for CEC candidates jump a full six points—the largest increase in CRS cut-offs between draws seen this year.

Express Entry draws in 2026 have seen Canada's immigration department focus largely on immigration candidates within the country, particularly those with provincial nominations and Canadian work experience.
