Are you moving to Canada?

Finding a job is now likely one of your top priorities.

Landing your dream job in Canada can be difficult, but fortunately there are a lot of resources and supports in place to assist you.

For instance, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) spends some $2 billion each year on newcomer settlement supports. These supports are available to all new permanent residents. They go to around 500 different immigrant-serving organizations which are located across the country.

These organizations exist to help newcomers succeed in Canada, and they deliver IRCC-funded services for free. A major component of the services they offer relates to employment. You can contact a local immigrant-serving organization once you arrive to Canada and they will be able to offer employment support such as preparing a resume, preparing for an interview, and professional networking and mentorship.

You can find a list of these organizations on IRCC's website.

Keep in mind that Canada welcomes newcomers for a reason. It needs motivated people like you to enter the labour force and contribute to Canada's prosperity. Harnessing your motivation will allow you to eventually find the job of your dreams.

CanadaVisa has prepared the following step-by-step job-hunting guide in video format to support your success.
