Summary of Express Entry draws (3 – 16 July)

In the two weeks between 3 and 16 July, the AAIP held six draws, with varying draw sizes and cut-off scores.

Four of these six draws were through the Alberta Express Entry stream, an enhanced (or Express Entry-aligned) pathway:

Draw date StreamMinimum score of invited candidates Number of invitations
July 16, 2025 Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway 49 <10
July 11, 2025 Alberta Opportunity Stream 72 269
July 9, 2025 Dedicated Health Care Pathway – non-Express Entry 53 32
July 8, 2025 Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Aviation) 53 20
July 4, 2025 Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Agriculture) 64 15
July 3, 2025 Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry 62 36

The majority of invitations through these draws were issued through the Alberta Opportunity Stream. The Alberta Opportunity Stream is intended for temporary foreign workers who are currently employed full-time in Alberta and have a full-time job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible occupation.

Earlier in the year, the AAIP announced that in 2025 the Alberta Express Entry stream would issue invitations based on priority sectors, alongside the stream’s three designated pathways:

  • The Dedicated Health Care Pathway.
  • The Accelerated Tech Pathway.
  • The Law Enforcement Pathway.

The Alberta Express Entry stream prioritizes the following sectors:

  • Construction.
  • Agriculture.
  • Aviation.
  • Healthcare.
