Draw (13-20 Aug)

On August 19, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) issued invitations through the Alberta Express Entry stream’s Law Enforcement Pathway.

Fewer than 10 invitations were issued.

The minimum score that candidates needed to qualify for this draw was 45. This is one of the lowest minimum cut-off scores for an AAIP draw seen in 2025.

The Alberta Express Entry stream issues invitations based on priority sectors, alongside three dedicated pathways:

  • The Dedicated Health Care Pathway.
  • The Accelerated Tech Pathway.
  • The Law Enforcement Pathway.

What is Alberta’s Law Enforcement Pathway?

The AAIP launched the Law Enforcement pathway in June 2024 to help local police services address crime and meet recruitment objectives.

To be eligible, candidates must have a job offer from an Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police member and meet all other Express Entry requirements.

Occupations eligible for nomination are

  • commissioned and non-commissioned police officers and related occupations in public protection services;
  • police investigators and other investigative occupations; and
  • other specialized law enforcement occupations.

How many invitations are yet to be issued through this stream?

As of August 27, AAIP has shared the following information regarding the Law Enforcement Pathway.
