Manitoba’s last draw of 2025 invites hundreds of skilled candidates

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held an Expression of Interest (EOI) draw on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

A total of 421 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued in this New Year's Eve draw.

Occupation-specific draw

On December 31, the province issued 353 LAAs through its Skilled Worker Stream (specifically its Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway), targeting candidates in select healthcare-related occupations.

To be considered, candidates had to have declared current employment in Manitoba in their EOI profile.

The following table details which National Occupational Classification (NOC) unit groups were considered:

Skilled Worker Stream

On the same day, the province issued 68 more LAAs to candidates who indicated in their profile being directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative. This included candidates under both the province’s Skilled Worker Stream pathways:

Of the 421 Letters of Advice to Apply issued in this draw, 118 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

I meet all of the above criteria - why haven't I received an LAA?

The province has clarified that if a candidate meets all of the above criteria but hasn't received an LAA, it could be due to the following reasons:

The candidate indicated they have taken an approved language test but did not provide a valid test number in their EOI, or their test was no longer valid;
The candidate indicated that received an Invitation to Apply to the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative, but did not provided a valid invitation number.

Candidates in either of the above situations can update their EOI with the correct information so they are considered in the next draw from the EOI pool.

The MPNP also noted that it may accept or may refuse applications from candidates working in regulated occupations who are licensed to work if they fail to provide proof of having undergone all the necessary licensing steps to be employed in Manitoba. These candidates are advised to decline their LAA.
