The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held a new draw under its Skilled Worker Stream on March 26, issuing invitations to both in-province and overseas candidates.

Candidates were invited if they declared being directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.

This marks the province's sixth selection round in 2026 to date.

In its latest draw, the MPNP issued 14 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways of the Skilled Worker Stream.

The largest share of invitations in this draw went to candidates connected to the Francophone Community initiative, which accounted for eight of the 14 LAAs issued.

The MPNP specified that no LAAs were issued through the Regional Communities initiative through this draw.

To have received an invitation in this draw, candidates needed to have declared in their EOI profiles that they were invited by the province under a strategic recruitment initiative—or through the “Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates.”

Of the 14 LAAs issued in this round, three were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

I met the selection criteria. Why didn’t I receive an LAA?

According to the MPNP, candidates may meet the apparent criteria for the draw and still not receive an LAA. This may happen if the candidate

  • Indicated that they had taken an approved third-party language test in English or French, but did not provide a valid test number in their EOI, or the test result was no longer valid; or
  • Indicated that they had received an Invitation to Apply under a strategic recruitment initiative, but did not provide a valid invitation number.

If either of the above situations applies, candidates may wish to update their EOI with the correct information so they can be considered in the next draw.
