Invitations were issued through the following streams and pathways:

As of the time of this writing, the AAIP has conducted a total of 27 draws in 2026, with the bulk of invitations issued through the Alberta Opportunity Stream.

This latest series of draws follows five draws held between March 17 and March 27, which issued more than 290 invitations.

Draw details (April 8 -14)

The AAIP prioritized technology, construction and skilled trades, health care, and rural immigration candidates in this round of draws.

The April 8 Accelerated Tech Pathway draw accounted for the largest share (43%) of invitations.

Cutoff scores and the number of invitations varied by draw:

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) granted Alberta a total of 6,403 nomination spaces for 2026.

As of April 15, the province has issued 1,634 nominations — leaving 4,769 nomination spaces remaining.

There are 1,535 applications awaiting processing in the AAIP's inventory, across all streams and pathways.
