Alberta conducts five provincial immigration draws, invites candidates across multiple sectors
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held numerous draws over the course of the last three weeks.
Between October 8 to October 21, 2025, a total of 202 candidates received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination.

Summary of draws (October 8 to 21)
The province recently published information about its latest series of provincial immigration draws.
Between Oct. 8 and Oct. 21, Alberta held five draws—inviting candidates in tech, aviation, agriculture, and healthcare occupations:

The highest number of candidates received invitations through the province’s most recent draw on Oct. 21 through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway.
Thus far this year, the province has held:
- 8 draws through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway.
- 5 draws through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Aviation) pathway.
- 6 draws through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Agriculture) pathway.
- 10 draws through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (non-Express Entry).
- 10 draws through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (Express Entry).
These draws align with Alberta’s priority sectors for 2025, released earlier this year. For the Alberta Express Entry Stream, priority sectors include construction, agriculture, and aviation.
The province of Alberta has said that it will be considering ITAs based on the above-mentioned priority sectors in addition to the three pathways within the Alberta Express Entry Stream:
- Dedicated Healthcare Pathway;
- Accelerated Tech Pathway; and
- Law Enforcement Pathway.
The AAIP has conducted a total of 69 draws throughout 2025.
Provincial nomination figures
For 2025, the AAIP received a total of 4,875 nomination slots.
In September, the federal government granted the province an additional 1,528 nominations—bringing their total number of nomination spaces in 2025 to 6,403.
To date, Alberta has issued a total of 4,689 nominations, leaving the province with 1,714 nomination spaces remaining.
