A popular Express Entry-linked Provincial Nominee Program stream, Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream, issued 511 new Notifications of Interest, or NOIs, in the latest round of invitations held on February 27.

In this round of invitations, NOIs were issued to select Express Entry candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 433 and 441.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) explained that the NOIs were issued to candidates whose Express Entry profiles were submitted between January 1, 2018, and February 22, 2018.

Candidates in the Express Entry pool who receive an NOI from Ontario are in the position to apply for a provincial nomination by the province. If their applications are successful, candidates are awarded an additional 600 points towards their Express Entry CRS score.

The Human Capital Priorities Stream is unique in its process of selection as it allows the OINP to search the Express Entry pool for candidates with a CRS score of 400 or above, along with other criteria.

Biggest round of invitations so far in 2018

This marks the fifth and largest draw for the Human Capital Priorities Stream in 2018. In total, 1,808 invitations have been issued by Ontario to Express Entry candidates through this stream in the first two months of the year.

In its announcement, the OINP stated it "will continue to issue NOIs on a regular basis to candidates, who at a minimum, have a CRS of 400 and meet all the eligibility criteria."
