Who is eligible to apply for Brandon RCIP?

Apart from having a job offer from an approved designated employer, foreign nationals must ensure that the job offer also falls within Brandon’s priority occupations for the RCIP.

In addition to this, they have to meet specific eligibility criteria such as

  • Having related work experience, or meeting the criteria for the international graduate exemption;
  • Meeting the language proficiency requirements;
  • Meeting the educational credential requirements; and
  • Demonstrating sufficient funds to support the settlement process for themselves and any accompanying family members.

Candidates who meet all the criteria may receive a certificate of recommendation from Brandon and apply to the federal government for PR. They are also eligible for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)-exempt work permit (if needed) while their PR application is being processed.
