A cumulative 1,550 invitations to apply (ITAs) were issued over the course of the seven draws, which Alberta published on its official webpage on June 2.

Invitations were issued through the three streams, with the greatest share of ITAs issued to candidates through the Alberta Opportunity Stream—accounting for 64.1% of all invites.

This selection round also marks the AAIP’s first draw specifically targeting skilled trades linked to the construction sector (May 20).

To date, the province has invited no fewer than 7,819 AAIP candidates to apply for provincial nomination—with the Alberta Opportunity Stream making up a large portion of that total at 4,850 invitations.

As of June 3 (the date of the AAIP’s last webpage update), Alberta reports having used 2,587 nomination slots allocated to the province by the federal government in 2026. This leaves 3,816 spaces remaining.
