Canada selects 576 provincial nominees to apply for permanent residence
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued more invitations to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system.
The immigration department issued 576 ITAs in a draw for Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination.
To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to have:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 734; and
- Created an Express Entry candidate profile before 9:39 p.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on August 29, 2026.

An in-Canada applicant for permanent residence through Express Entry can apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP).
If their current work permit expires before a decision has been made on their BOWP application, they will benefit from maintained status, which authorizes them to continue working under the conditions of their existing permit, as long as they remain in Canada.
Eligible family members of the applicant may also be able to apply for a BOWP.
