Victory For Quebec Skilled Worker Applicants

Thousands of Canadian immigration applications may be affected by court decision

The Superior Court of Quebec has arrived at a decision in the case of Stasenko v. MICC et al, which challenged the government of Quebec’s decision to apply changes to the Quebec Skilled Worker Program’s (QSWP) eligibility criteria retroactively, having previously promised applicants that their application would be processed based on regulations in effect when it was submitted. La Cour supérieure du Québec a rendu une décision dans l’affaire Stasenko c. MICC qui contestait une décision du gouvernement du Québec. Canada To Introduce Pre-Approval System For Visa-Exempt Visitors

Seventh Express Entry Draw: CIC continues to select candidates without job offers

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has performed the seventh, and latest, draw from the Express Entry pool, issuing 925 invitations to candidates in the pool with 469 or more Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. The draw was made on April 10, 2015, and followed soon after news that a number of the first few successful applicants for Canadian immigration have already obtained permanent resident status through the Express Entry immigration selection system.
