Alberta selects 380 workers for provincial immigration
Between Sept. 10–23, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) issued no fewer than 380 invitations to apply for provincial nomination, prioritizing workers in healthcare, tech, manufacturing, and agriculture.
Selected candidates can move forward with a nomination application, and those approved by the province may then apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residence.

After submitting an application for permanent residence, a provincial nominee can apply for a bridging open work permit (BOWP).
Alberta Opportunity Stream nominees can benefit from a temporary federal measure in effect since June 9, 2026, which lets qualifying base PNP applicants apply for a BOWP months sooner.

- Sept. 23 – Alberta Opportunity Stream: Lowest invitation total.
- Sept. 18 – Health Care priority sector: Highest invitation total.
- Sept. 15 – Agriculture priority sector: Highest cutoff score.
- Sept. 10 – Manufacturing priority sector: Highest cutoff score.
All draws held during this period, except for the Sept. 21 and Sept. 23 rounds, align with Alberta’s established 2026 priorities announced earlier this year, which also include construction, aviation, and rural settlement.
