Today's Express Entry draw is the fourth of the month, and follows a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on 21 July, a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on 8 July, and another PNP draw on 7 July.

Thus far, IRCC has issued 49,403 ITAs through the Express Entry system in 2025.

Express Entry draws this year have primarily focused on PNP draws, with the remainder of Express Entry ITAs dedicated to CEC candidates, candidates with French-language proficiency, and those in the Express Entry priority occupation categories.

More recently, the Express Entry system has followed a pattern of PNP and CEC draws held every two weeks, which the department has maintained since 10 June.

Employers who hire for occupations that qualify for category-based draws

For candidates with CRS scores under 500, category-based selection under Express Entry offers a vital pathway to permanent residence (PR).

To be eligible, candidates must have at least six months of full-time, continuous work experience in an occupation that falls under one of the designated occupational categories. This work experience can be gained inside or outside of Canada.

Our recent article compiles a list from Canada's top 50 employers, filtering by those who also hire for occupations that are eligible under multiple Express Entry categories (including healthcare and social services). For more information on category-based selections, visit our dedicated webpage.
